We just got rid of the owie on her nose, now we have another big one on her face! We had a tumble on the sidewalk this morning when we were outside playing...

We took a load up to the camper yesterday, was a beautiful day to be out there! Hoping we can make it again next weekend to do a little cleaning and relaxing!

Summer Rec!

We are almost signed up for summer rec activities! June is Tiny Tots, July will be swimming lessons and Special Summertime Family Fun! I'm excited for summer to get here!

Sucker

I made a Very Hungry Caterpillar sensory table for the daycare kiddos, I wanted to include most of the play food that the caterpillar eats in the story  one was a lollipop, we don't have a play lollipop, so, I stuck a real sucker in. I went on to do something else, check and see what Brooklyn was doing and my "lollipop" was in her mouth! That little stinker! Needless to say, I had to stick a play Popsicle in, instead of the real sucker!

MN ZOO/Louann's

We all had a fun time this weekend! Went up to Louann's on Friday night and then Saturday headed over to the MN Zoo. Who seriously knew the zoo was that huge? We were all wiped out from all that walking! Thanks again Louann and Scott for your hospitality! We will make another trip this fall/winter!

Loved how pretty the aquariums were! Especially the penguins, it was so cute to see them swim!

We made a Target stop on the way home, Brookie got some new jammies...They say, I'm a big splash! So, don't get any ideas:)

When we got home, we unpacked, finished laundry and started getting a few things together to make a load up to the camper! Now, if this snow would melt, we could get to the camper a little faster! Here's to being done early on Friday's for May, June, July & August!

Tuesday was nice enough we could play outside once again!

Weather

I'm ready for SPRING weather.... this yucky rainy/snow/sleet is starting to get old and from looking at the forecast, it doesn't look to change much this week either, boo! I had to get out the tub with bigger clothes to look for some size 3 (yes, I know!) pajamas, as her size 2 are getting to short/small on her... They were both carters brand, so they typically run a little smaller, but still!

Yesterday, we tried on a few summer outfits to make sure they were going to fit and see if there was anything else that we needed to pick up for Miss. B's spring/summer wardrobe. I think a pair or 2 of capri's and she should be set!

Please excuse the MESS! We had probably just about everything dug out yesterday trying on different outfits. She was getting pretty sick of trying on outfits, I had to keep telling her they were Pippy's, her friend from daycare, in order to get her to put on a different one! 

Excited Finds!

While we were in town today, I told Mike I wanted to stop at Good-Will again! Since, I had such good luck last weekend, I thought I'd see how my luck continued.... I think I totally SCORED! Who knew I would be so excited over someone's else's junk?!!

I checked in one of my daycare supply catalogs at how much something like this is, as I've looked at getting something similar to this in the past for the infant/toddlers... $112.95! I paid $1.00! 

The daycare kids love these kind of puzzles, wooden with nice wood pieces, we have a few from when I was a child, but, now, we have 7 more to add to our collection for $5.00! 

Just in time for the yucky weather we are going to have again this week! Can you tell what we will be doing?!

Pre-Writing!

We've been working on a little pre-writing skills the last few days!

Books!

... I took all the Dora, Barbie, etc... books off the book shelf today and will be donating them to the thrift shop! I just got done listening to the Child Care Bar & Grill podcast by Jeff Johnson, Denita Dinger and Lisa Murphy... it was a great reminder on books! Do we just buy books because we can or do we buy quality books that get read over and over again. Sad to say, I don't like reading these commercialized books and we don't read them very often! So, bye bye books! I think we still have a great collection of wonderful books that get read and will be read over and over again!
