Hero?!

"I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives." -Edward F. Croker

The last few weeks, we've been to various places and people will come up to Mike and mention something about him being a hero for his actions at the house fire. To be completely honest, he does not feel that he is a hero and that he was just acting like a fireman, and that anyone else would act the same way. I think this quote sums up how he feels, "What you call a hero, I call just doing my job."

I love this quote : "If you think it's tough being a firefighter, try being a firefighter's wife."- Author Unknown

Waking...

Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

Hair Salon

Playing hair salon... so glad, she decided she could do her babies hair and we were getting sick of having our hair and nails done ALL the time!

Ice Fishing

Our first time out ice fishing this winter... It was a fun time, but, I think that she was not impressed when Tom caught a fish and it about jumped on her head! We will see if she asks to go ice fishing with Dad again?!!

Having fun with Jayson

Our Christmas celebrations are over, after 5 of them, I'm wiped out and
we didn't even go to 3, which would put our total at 8 Christmas celebrations with different family! Plus a daycare Christmas party! We spent a great portion of the night, putting toys away and doing a little re-arranging, cleaning! Oh, I am starting to see the end in sight... hopefully tomorrow I can finish it! Brookie's room looked like a dumping ground! But, everything is starting to find a new home on the shelves! So, that's great:)

Can you tell what I'm guessing is one of her favorite Christmas gifts? Yip, she had to bring the baby & seat into the store with us:-)

Bounce House

Yes, I actually set this up in my living room! Notice that her baby had to be jumping with her in the car seat?  The first thing I purchased off of my grant... now, to wait for the rest to arrive and it will be like Christmas all over again!

Sled Ride

We love our new sled! Thanks SANTA:) Now, if only the weather would cooperate, we could enjoy it a little more!

Christmas #5

We picked up Grandma Lou

Papa bought a sled so I could have a ride today! We made quite a few trips around the block!

My favorite picture today!

What a gorgeous day it was today! However, it dropped 10* on our way home and it was quite windy, but not as windy as the wind sounds tonight howling outside! I'm glad to be inside blogging under a warm snuggly blanket watching Hallmark movies!

Christmas #4

Showing Grandma her makeup

Uncle of the Year Award! Putting real makeup on Uncle Ame!

let's try on all our new clothes!

Had to play again once we got home!
Yes, you will see she had to wear her swim suit... I was exhausted and had a terrible cold, it wasn't worth arguing over! So, she wore her PJ pants over it and took them off the minute we got in the door!

Christmas #3!

Santa came!

... and brought a sled for behind the Ranger!

whats all in my stocking

this is pretty neat, you put water in the sprayer so it really sprays the water!
