Out with the old

and in with the NEW!

Thanks to a little spray paint, I re-did our old playhouse out in the shop. I think it will need another coat in the spring, but it works for now! I can't believe how dirty it was looking and how it just looks NEW again! Gives them something different to play in for the next couple weeks in the house! Hmmm... maybe, I will have to try an old cozy coupe next!

Books to bed!

Most take a stuffed animal or something like that to bed, not my child! She takes her favorite book!

Easter dress

I found her Easter dress today at Kmart of all places! I personally think she loves the shoes more than the dress as she wouldn't take the shoes off, but who doesn't love a little clicky heel?!!!

Hotel Weekend

I had a daycare conference on Friday night/Saturday, so I thought it would be fun to stay over... Brooklyn and Mike went swimming while I was at the conference. I told him to take a few pictures of her swimming, this was all I got:

Glad they had fun swimming because this daycare conference was horrible! I think that once you have heard very good presenters, such as Lisa Murphy- The Ooey Gooey Lady or Jeff Johnson- Explorations Early Learning, it's hard not to enjoy something that doesn't keep your interest.  However, I did meet some new ladies and it was fun to network with them!

The vendors were pretty good! I bought a few new things for daycare....

Valentine's

Here is Brookies valentines for her friends, I need to make something that says, "i love you to pieces" yet and attach some Reese's pieces. I will say I like the puzzles much better with the picture on the outside better, but it didn't work to do it with those that have a knob.

Closet playhouse....

Thanks again to Pinterest, I had another "project"... To turn Brookies closet in her room into a little play area just for her! A place no daycare kiddos will be able to go. So, I got to work cleaning out the closet (need to make a trip to the thrift shop to drop a load off yet!), painted the walls... then tonight Mike cut a piece of carpet to fit, and we started to put a few things in it, but, I want to get a little light for in it yet and maybe a few other things. So, more pictures will follow once its complete... But for now......

Indoor Playground

Friday, we went to the Redwood Community Center's Indoor Playground.... what a bast we had! Followed by a visit to see Papa at the shop, Pizza Ranch and the car wash! We had a busy morning:)

Valentine's outfit!

Yikes! I love Valentine's Day! I think Brooklyn has a few outfits for the day and even has Valentine PJ's! I'm already working on our valentine gifts for her friends.... HINT: I love you to pieces:) Now to figure out which valentine I want to give the kids! Did I mention, we will celebrate Anniversary #9 on Valentine's Day!!

We have a few wild bunnies that have been hanging out by the toy room windows... Brooklyn's had fun watching them out the window over the weekend.

Bath time Fun!

I-pad

I used some of my Christmas money and purchased an i-pad, at first, I wasn't sure if I should really splurge on it, but I'm glad I did! I love it! I have my books on there, some apps for the daycare kids for quiet time! Brooklyn loves to watch her movies on it in the car, and when we face-timed with Papa the other night, she was giving him kisses on the screen, because she could actually see him!

Toy Room!

I've been busy working/re-arranging in the toy room, trying to make the "most" of our space, so to speak! Mike wasn't too sure why I needed another shelf, but he was a good sport and put up 2 more for me!

My favorite part of this kitchen is the little bar table with the stools! 

Moved the trucks to the other side in the toy box and have the road signs  on top. 

I want to play babies:))) 

Now, I just need to complete the other side of the room and organize the workshop! Hopefully tomorrow, that can be accomplished!

Sensory Table Fun

We have some faux snow creation in the sensory table right now, it was some faux snow, cornstarch and shaving cream=== MESSY!

JFK dance

We went and watched the girls winter dance show today, it was short and very nice! Brooklyn enjoyed watching them dance!
