Baby Food

So, even before Brooklyn came along, I usually make my own baby food for the daycare kiddos. I was doing some reading the other day on homemade baby food as I was planning out what foods to try with her next. Something I thought was amazing... jarred baby food has a shelf life of up to 3 years, the reason jarred baby food can have a shelf life of 3 years is becasue it's been heated to such an enouramous degree that no bacteria can survive in it, which means that during the preservation process, vitamins and minerals can't survive that heat either.  I think I'll stick to making most of Miss B's food. So far she's had avocado, peas, pears, banana, applesauce, squash. Next up is sweet potatoes and zucchini.
