TGIF! It seems to have been another busy week and next week appears to look the same! Mike has one week left of fire dept. classes, yippee! We've started in the field, so I'm guessing that will continue and Mike has a bunch of work lined up that needs to get done!
As for me, I have 2 months left of my classes, however, they will be 2x a week towards the end of April, I'm starting to feel over-whelmed with it all plus trying to keep up with daycare stuff, school will be out May 10th and I will have a full bunch this summer.... Not to mention, getting all the normal household duties done during the week so we can head to the lake on the weekends! My leg continues to heal, was at the doctor yesterday and seen Dr. McDreamy, oops... I mean McHenry, he gave me some ointment to put on a spot on my leg that he thought seemed worrisome yet, so hopefully it will help clear it up. Otherwise, my leg looks like a snake, waiting for that new skin to appear so the old stuff falls off! Did I mention, how much I love my Avera doctors? If not, I have not had one bad experience with them, they are all fabulous!
Brooklyn, continues to grow. I think each day is something new. Just the other day she started to make a piggy noise, I even caught her doing it in her sleep!
This weekend, we will be cleaning out the new camper and getting it ready to take to the lake. Maybe I can talk Mike into camping out?! We gotta try it out right?!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Back on the mend
It's been quite the week around our household, I've been in the hospital since Tuesday for cellulitus from a spider bite, didn't really think they would put me in the hospital, but they did! I soon learned how boring it is to be in the hospital, I completed a 88 page scrapbook of Brooklyn 0-3 months in about 1 1/2 days, had some great nurses and then some again that needed to retire.
My leg has made some major improvements as you can see below in a few pictures. Thanks to my great hubby for picking up the slack at home, guess he really had no choice did he?!! But, he did manage to make arrangements for Brooklyn while had had Fire class on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Brooklyn loves to come to visit me. The poor thing, hangs on as if she will never see me again. It's amazing at such a little age, how they are aware of the surroundings. Both Tuesday and Wednesday, she hung out in bed with me, today, I was able to get out, so I was in a chair, and the look on her face was priceless.

Watch out for bugs...
I got this nasty mark on my leg which started as a bug bite on my ankle on Friday and went to this by today. I finally felt good enough, after being in bed for 2 days to go to the doctor. He said, I must have gotten a bug bite which went under my skin to cause a bacterial infection. So needless to say, I felt like I was dying and it was awful... wish I would have went in sooner. Hopefully, the medicine and the shot I got will take care of it, otherwise I'm supposed to go back. Will try daycare tomorrow to see how it goes, hopefully it rains and Mike is able to help out! But, for now, I'm keeping it elevated...

6 months old
Happy 1/2 Birthday Brooklyn:) Mommy loves you very much even if you are stubborn like your daddy! She weighed 17 lbs, 6 oz at her check up today and I don't think they said her height, but she was in the 82% for height. Dr. Hanna said she should be crawling soon, stage 2 food by 8 months and furniture walking by 9 months.... sounds like we have an exciting couple months coming up!
