Vacation

I spent the last week on vacation... back to reality tomorrow! We had a great week, it was hot, but with the pool it felt just right! We had a few visitors off an on and that was just the right amount! Brooklyn took about a 3 hour nap every day not to mention, she would sleep in until about 8:30AM every day... I guess swimming was hard work! Vacation always goes way too fast! Good thing, we can be back at the camper in 5 more sleeps:) I did accomplish reading my book that I've had downloaded for the last couple weeks... now, to wait for the next book to come out! I even gave myself permission not to think about any daycare projects/themes for the whole week! Wowza, was that nice! Now, to get back into the hustle and bustle of whatever the week will hold!

Had pedicures to start off our vacation!

We went to Sonia's wedding reception and then headed up to the camper.

Almost to the camper... yippee!

playing little people

Paint by water

We did a tye-dye project one night

This doesn't show up very well, but it was glow sticks in the bath-tub... it looks neat!

We did a little shopping!

Enjoying a campfire

pretty nails!

We found "pink" cow milk at the grocery store... in fact, it was so nummy that we went through a 1/2 gallon in 1 day!

Snap-pops were a hit!

We decided that this was a "baby" pool!

My little family!

Starbursts... we were counting them and looking at the colors...

Checking out Green Lake with Daddy

Someone got a bow and arrow at the flea market... I think that Daddy likes it more than Brookie!

Beach

We went to the beach on Monday... I'm not going to lie, I would have much rather went to the pool! But it was fun to order pizza from Zorbaz' and eat on the beach.

Big Girl Tent

Daddy promised Brookie that if she was a big girl with going potty, he would buy her a tent... So, when he came back up to the camper on Wednesday night, he had a tent and boy oh boy, was she ever excited!

4th of July

Papa and Mimi surprised us and came up for the Fourth! It was a hot day, but with a little bit of a breeze, it wasn't too bad! We all watched fireworks on the little hill that separates the row of campers in front of us and our row... as I sat there among-st everyone else waiting for the fireworks, I couldn't help but think how neat it was, everyone gathered together where we normally all have our campfires, instead the kids were all sharing glow bracelets or necklaces, the adults with all chatting and it was just a great feeling. This is what camping is all about... making memories!

Happy Fourth of July!

Sporting her flag shirt we made at daycare

A tent built for 3!

Hailey was over to play quite a bit this weekend!

How many necklaces or bracelets do you need?!!! Well, there was 15 bracelets in a pack, so 15! Good thing we gave some away:)

All decked out with tattoos

First sparkler!

Swimming

Swimming with Daddy

We have a little fish on our hands! We visited the pool at least 2x, if not 3x a day for the last week. She LOVES the water and is getting a little too brave for Mama, especially when jumping in! Her arm floaties have been a life saver and once she figured she can go in the big pool with them, we've had no troubles putting them on. But, she's getting great at kicking her legs and can even float in the big pool without holding onto anyone with them on. Can't wait to see how well she is swimming by the end of the summer!

We sent Daddy on a search for a small tube, so she can sit like this! She LOVES it:)

Kicking her feet!

On the way to the pool! This little turkey loves to run the whole way to the pool!

Mini Golf

Saturday, we went and played 18 holes of golf, Brookie style... what fun! They even have bumper boats, go carts and a power wheels track... looks like we will be going back again!

Piggies

Here's a look at our little piggies we've had for a couple weeks.... or as Brooklyn says, "Daddy's puggies"!
